Web3
Moralis Developers
Overview
Moralis Developers is redefining Web3 development by providing powerful tools that make it easier for developers to build and scale decentralized applications.
Role
As the Lead Product Designer at Moralis, I led the Product Design team, crafting user-centered solutions for Web3 developers. 🚀
In my role, I combined strategy, UX/UI design, and collaboration to redefine how decentralized applications were built, lowering entry barriers and attracting web2 developers to the web3 ecosystem.🌟
My key contributions
🪄 Dashboard Redesign
Led a comprehensive overhaul of the user dashboard, collaborating with C-suite stakeholders to align the design with the company's strategic vision, enhancing user engagement and satisfaction.
Before
The previous user dashboard featured a cluttered layout with limited hierarchy and visual clarity. Key information, such as project details and support options, was not easily scannable, making it difficult for users to navigate and access essential tools. The interface lacked a clear structure, resulting in a less efficient user experience.
After
The redesigned user dashboard introduces a clean, modular layout with improved hierarchy and usability. Essential information, such as current usage, plan details, API keys, and resources, is now prominently displayed, allowing users to access key tools effortlessly. The new design aligns with Moralis' strategic vision, improving user engagement, navigation efficiency, and overall satisfaction.
📡
Designed the user interface for the Streams section, enabling developers to monitor real-time wallet and smart contract events across multiple blockchains. This included customizable event filtering, ensuring a seamless integration of the Streams API into user applications.
💳 Nodes interface
Created the user flow and interface for the Nodes section, providing developers with easy access to high-performance RPC nodes across major blockchain networks. Emphasized features such as 99.9% uptime, fast response times, and SOC 2 Type 2 certification, ensuring a reliable and secure experience for users.
💳 Payment and Checkout flow redesign
Directed the design and implementation of features such as Payment Links, Checkout processes, and diverse payment methods, streamlining transactions and improving the overall user payment experience and conversion rate.
Learnings
During my tenure as Lead Product Designer at Moralis, I gained invaluable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities within the Web3 space. Here are some key learnings from my experience:
⚖️ Balancing Innovation with Usability
While Web3 offers opportunities for creative and groundbreaking functionalities, I learned that prioritizing usability is paramount. Ensuring that innovative features are accessible and user-friendly determines their success and adoption.
This balance is essential in designing products that are both cutting-edge and practical for users.
I learned the importance of creating interfaces that are not only intuitive but also educate users about complex concepts like wallets, gas fees, and smart contracts. Simplifying these elements without compromising functionality is crucial for user adoption.
Given the novelty of Web3 technologies, I recognized the necessity of incorporating educational components into the design. Providing clear explanations and guidance helps demystify the technology, fostering user trust and confidence. This approach is essential in reducing the perceived risk associated with decentralized applications.
